For Your Body:

Healthy Habits

1. Wash your hands often with warm soap and water, especially after touching items or body parts.
   

2. Don’t share eating or drinking materials, straws, cups, plates, spoons, or forks. 
   

3. Use paper tissues and throw them away after each use (don’t save for another time). 
   

4. Sneeze into your shoulder if a tissue is not available. 
   

5. Keep air moving in your house and car (stagnant air harbors germs). 
   

6. Smoke increases susceptibility to colds and flu by irritating the respiratory tract. 
   

7. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth after exposure to cold or flu viruses. 
   

8. Use paper napkins and towels – avoid cloth towels and sponges. 
   

9. Wash toys in warm soapy water. 
   

10. Clean doorknobs, telephones, railings and counter tops often to avoid hand to hand spreading of germs and viruses.
