Diane’s Notes:
I would like to take this
time to thank everyone for their thoughts, words, prayers and deeds
during my illnesses. It is good to again be
able to serve OUR GOD in the way He has set for me in each phase of my
life.
Since the ministry began in
1999, many changes have come about. First was reaching out to the
community, setting up programs and assisting on regular basis, attending
and lecturing at local community groups, civic groups, clubs of all
kinds, higher education facilities and youth conferences. Then came the
time to reflect and let God’s hand guide everyone in their own
directions. Now my main job is to be available to those just hearing
about parish nursing, or someone needing a parish nursing resource
number. The higher educators are now asking students to interview parish
nurses for thesis work. Time has flown by and when the time comes when I
will only be a website for reference, no longer able to actively
participate, just know that each of you are still in my daily prayers.
Matthew 21:19 tell about the wondrous withering of the unfruitful fig
tree. Let us be mindful that the Lord cursed the fig tree with its many
leaves but No fruit, and the fig tree withered. Think about your
life, with its many leaves (the cares, desires and thoughts of the body)
does it also have spiritual fruit? If we have NO spiritual fruit
we will come under the same curse, NOW is the time to set it
right.
Thanks for taking the time to read
this newsletter.
God Bless You Richly,
-- Diane
